Logos/Identity Design
#13 of 13 :: Middletown Thrall Library Identity |
|
The Middletown Thrall Library logo was a rare project because the
symbol embodies all of the concepts for this identity.
Most
obvious is the symbol as a book form. The library was moving
to a newly-renovated train station which included conference
rooms and internet access. The library as a community center
is reflected by the "pages" moving
toward the spine. The change in the weight of the lines that
represent the pages give the logo a sense of energy and movement — similar
to the increase in activity at the library. As you can see
in the photograph of the train station, the logo's shape
also mirrors the architectural features of the entranceway.
